Mentzendorff has been celebrating the success of many of its producers, who have achieved some fantastic results in a range of internationally renowned wine competitions so far this year!
At the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021, Henriques & Henriques was awarded the Best In Show medal for the 20-Year-Old Verdelho, as well as winning an impressive Platinum medal for their Single Harvest Sercial 2001.
The following wines also picked up Gold Medals: Hambledon Première Cuvée Brut (96 points), Hambledon Classic Cuvée Rosé Brut (95 points), Champagne AYALA La Perle 2012 (95 points), Ciacci Rossofonte 2018 (96 points), Bodegas Roda 1 2016 (95 points), Kilikanoon Mort’s Reserve Watervale Riesling 2018 (96 points), Klein Constantia Vin de Constance 2017 (96 points), Bodegas Hidalgo Wellington 20 Years (95 points) and Henriques & Henriques 20-Year-Old Terrantez (96 points).
This year’s International Wine Challenge also saw more fine performances, notably from Taylor’s 20-Year-Old Tawny Port, which won a well-deserved Gold Medal.
Great results were also enjoyed at the Wine Merchant Top 100 awards with a trophy for Best Sweet Wine, won by Klein Constantia’s iconic Vin de Constance 2017. Klein Constantia Metis Sauvignon Blanc 2017 also made the Top 100 list, along with Henriques & Henriques Single Harvest Verdelho 2007.
