Champagne Bollinger PN VZ15 – Pinot Noir with a Sense of Place
We are very excited to be able to share with you Champagne Bollinger PN VZ15: the first new permanent addition to the Champagne Bollinger range in 12 years.
PN VZ15 is the result of a blind tasting contest between the winemaking team at Bollinger and celebrates the blending skills of Champagne winemakers and impressively shows off with Bollinger’s Pinot Noir wealth and know-how.The winning blend (created by Champagne Bollinger Chef de Cave, Gilles Descôtes) was built primarily on Verzenay, with support from Aÿ, Bouzy and Tauxières. It is based on the 2015 vintage but with reserve wines aged in magnums from as far back as 2009. Its black bottle and black label are a tribute to the Pinot Noir grape, and a nod to its big brother, Vieilles Vignes Françaises.
A different 100% Pinot Noir will also be released every year from the 2015 vintage onwards. These new cuvees will be focusing on the characteristics of a different Champagne village and will be chosen by blind tasting.
“This cuvée made entirely from Pinot Noir is ingrained in what has become the very essence, the DNA of our House – an inimitable vision of an iconic grape variety and uncompromising efforts to fulfil the mission we started in 1829 as creators of taste.” Charles-Armand de Belenet – General Manager of Champagne Bollinger
