DELAMAIN COGNAC
Delamain Voyage
Here the summit is Voyage whose gentle and slowly evolving nose brings to mind a world of fine leather, tonka bean, espresso coffee, candied peels, membrillo and suede and velvety tannins. Flavours float and seem natural rather than bulked up.

Delamain 1979
“You’ll need to move fast if you want to snap up one of the newly-released Delamain 1979 cognacs, as there are only 650 bottles in the world. Made using grapes from the Malaville vineyard in Grand Champagne, this vintage cognac was aged in 350 litre Limousin oak casks for 30 years. The result is a cognac that’s powerful and aromatic, with a great long finish that will easily see you through to spring.”

Delamain Vesper
“The nose was quite floral at first, then layers of fruit, spice, toffee and vanilla followed by a light smokiness on the finish (and this was before I started puffing away). The palate followed through very nicely on the same themes. All the cognacs slipped effortlessly down with nary a backward glance and there was no burning sensation, just a nice warm feeling.”

Delamain Reserve de la Famille
“I found it exceptionally soft and refined, very subtle with sweet spice, toffee and cinnamon. I was reminded of freshly baked apple pie as I sipped this one.”

Delamain Pale & Dry XO
“Delamain is one of the last family-owned Cognac houses. This is a beautiful old Cognac made using the best eau-de-vie from the Grande Champagne region – powerful, mellow and subtle, all at the same time. A heroic after-dinner treat.”

Le Voyage de Delamain
“Le Voyage iself packs leather, musk, and cherry-strawberry perfume alongside gobs of ripe fruit, toasty wood, unctuous vanilla, and layers of spice. Sublime.”
